Midweek Gathering

Filled to Overflowing
We are excited to launch a churchwide midweek opportunity for growth and development called Overflow. The Greek word for overflow is perisseuō, which signifies having more than enough or superabundance. This shows up in Scripture as “overflowing” or having something “abundantly.”
Overflow will be a Wednesday-night gathering and meal for all ages. It will be a time for fellowship and for growing deeper in the faith, so that we may overflow with His abundant grace, love, and mercy in our homes, church, and community.
We will meet every Wednesday from 6 – 7:30 PM, beginning with a 30-minute family dinner.
Registration
Registration is helpful for planning and classroom, but you are welcome even if you did not register. We will gather important information needed on that night. To Register, please use our Church App.

Overflow Adults at CPC
Adult discipleship begins after dinner and follows a teaching-and-discussion format. Living for Christ is about being filled with the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and spilling that out wherever we go.
The word disciple is not just a follower of Christ, but is actually more rich in meaning. Literally, it means learner, but actively it means follower, imitator, and one who teaches others.
Paul writes, “The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful people who will be able to teach others also.”
2 Timothy 2:2 (NAS)
In response to Peter’s exhortation in 1 Peter, to the scattered church, we are called to live with steadfast hope, spiritual hunger, honorable conduct, readiness to give a defense for the hope within us, and sober-minded watchfulness. We desire that these truths would not only shape our lives, but overflow through us into our families, our church, and the world around us.
Over the next four years, we desire to give careful attention and study to these truths. Our goal is that we may be abundantly filled to overflowing in a life that bears witness to Christ.
Overflow Kids at CPC
Overflow Kids is designed to help children know and love God’s Word.
Each week, our kids will go through three stations:
- Teaching: Large-group lesson focused on the memory verse
- Music: Learning the verse through song
- Discipleship: Small-group time with a leader to understand and apply the verse
Our desire is that our kids will hide God’s Word in their hearts so that when life is hard, Scripture is what guides them first. We also want our kids to understand what discipleship is so that, as they grow older, they will desire to continue having people walk alongside them.
